Having competed in every Soap Box Derby at Richard’s Castle since racing began in 2004, the undefeated Champion, septuagenarian Ian Astley of Bishopstone Racing Motors, has decided to retire and has asked Richard’s Castle Soap Box Derby Committee to sell his fantastic soap box for him.

Ian is generously donating half of the proceeds to Richard’s Castle’s 2010 Soap Box Derby charity fundraising campaign and half to the community hall at Mansell Lacy near Hereford.

His soap box is a marvel of engineering and has never been beaten.  We are therefore looking for the best possible price for this very special machine to help us raise as much money as possible for charity.
